The Blowing Rock Community Library is a private, community library open to residents of Blowing Rock and nearby communities, as well as visitors. Apply by visiting the library and completing the necessary form.

You must reside (rent or own) in the area for 3 months or more per year to be eligible for a Resident Library Card.

If you reside in the area for less than 3 months but more than 2 weeks, you can obtain a permanent Non-Resident Library Card for a one-time fee of $10. No renewals. This card never expires.
​Note: The library is not part of the Watauga Public Library Appalachian Regional system. All books must be returned at the Blowing Rock Community Library.
The Blowing Rock Library Association (BRLA) oversees the operation of the of the library. The BRLA meets on the second Wednesday of the month, May - October.

BRLA Dues are collected in May and are $35.00 individual and $50.00 couple.
